FAQs
What is the significance of your "...Anatomically Angled" hipbelt that expands??
- Women naturally have wider hips and a lower center of gravity, thanks to a broader pelvis needed for childbirth. That means our hips flare out at an angle and are proportionally larger than men’s. If your hipbelt ever feels like it’s "digging in" or causing pain, you’re not alone. That’s why we designed our hipbelt to be angled and adjustable, expanding to fit a range of different hip widths for a more comfortable supportive carry.
What is the significance of an "S-curve shoulder strap?"
- S-curve shoulder straps curve around your boobs, whereas men's straight or J-shaped straps typically smash down on them. Plus, the S-curve design works for a wide range of body types. From narrow or sloping shoulders to shorter torsos, it naturally follows your upper body, no matter your gender.
What's the difference between traditional backpacking vs 'ultralight backpacking?'
- Traditional backpackers typically carry heavier loads for campsite comfort, but the weight adds up. Ultralight backpackers go lighter, moving faster, feeling better, and keeping things simple. It’s the difference between hiking 20 miles with 10 pounds of gear and hiking 20 miles with a much heavier 40 pounds of gear.
Why does the pack have so many pockets? That adds so much extra weight.
- Most women care more about organization and convenience than squeezing out every-single-extra-gram from their pack weight, especially since we need extra gear for things like peeing in the woods or managing our periods. Being a “gram-weenie” is usually more of a guy thing.
Your pack is not under 2 pounds, can it really be called ultralight?
- Ultralight backpacking is all about packing as light and minimal as possible while staying safe and comfortable in the wild. For most women, it’s not just having a pack that is lightweight—it’s having the right structure that makes all their gear "feel" lightweight.
